Bread & Butter Pickles

6- 7 Cucumbers sliced w/ skins on
3-4 Medium White Onions
2 Gr. Peppers
3 cloves of whole garlic
1/3 cup of coarse medium Salt
5 Cups of sugar
3 cups of Cider Vinegar
1 1/2 Teaspoons of Turmeric
1 1/2 Teaspoons of Celery Seed
2 Tablespoons of Mustard Seed
Do not pare cucumbers, slice thinly. Add onions, peppers and garlic. Add
salt and cover with cracked ice. Mix thoroughly. Let stand 3 hours; drain
well. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over cucumber mixture. Heat just
to a boil. Seal in sterilized jars. Makes 8 pints.
