Single Crust Pastry

1 1/4 cup all purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 Cup vegetable shortening

3-4 Tablespoons cold water

In medium mixing bowl combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture is coarse like meal. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time stirring until all particles are moistened and stick together. Form pastry into ball.
